Series of staged readings in Manresa and Barcelona

It is Solved by Walking (Es resol caminant), by Governor General’s Award Winner Catherine Banks;

Burning Vision (Visió ardent), by Métis playwright Marie Clements, and

Rearview(Mirant pel retrovisor), by Fransaskois playwright Gilles Poulin-Denis.

The staged readings took place at  teatre Kursaal in Manresa from November 15 to 19 and at Obrador de la Sala Beckett in Barcelona from November 25 to 27.

Important to the project is the interplay with the communities at large. Discussions with the audiences regarding the plays' relevancy in a different culture will be included after each reading. Opportunities for sharing and challenging artistic sensibilities inherent in the work will also be included in our programming.

The Connexió canadenca is the second half of our exchange program between Canadian and Catalan playwrights. In 2010, Tant per Tant produced Catalan Connection when three Catalan playwrights: Pere Riera, Pau Miró and Marta Buchaca came to Saskatoon, Vancouver and Montreal to assist in the development of the translation of their plays.
